Super Fall Decorating Project...

I couldn't wait to share this DIY decorating project with all of you.

It was so much fun to do and so easy.  The result are these oh so stylish

vintage paper covered pumpkins. 

Here is what you need:

*3, 5 or 7 Styrofoam pumpkins from Michael's.

*1 container Mog Pog

*1 foam pad brush

*Several pages from an old book (or new) that you don't mind

tearing apart (I bought a new book at the Dollar Store.  Be sure you

look at the type/text so you like the style and size).

*Several pages of vintage (or new) sheet music.  (I made copies of piano

music that I had).

*Sticks from your yard for the pumpkin stems (you need to break off the stems

that are on the styrofoam pumpkins).

*Spanish moss and any other moss.

Tear your book pages and sheet music into 1 inch strips.

Brush the pumpkins with Mog Pog one section at a time.

Apply the strip of paper to the Mog Pogged section of pumkin.

Repeat making sure to overlap the sheet and try to line up the text on the 

sheets as you go.  Smooth out all the little wrinkles as much as you can

and press the paper sown into the creases of the pumpkin.

Once your pumpkin is covered (and be sure to smoothly bring them all together

on the bottom side) brush over the entire pumpkin with a thin layer of Mog Pog.

Allow to dry.  Insert a stick (about 4 inches in length) into the top of the pupkin.

Apply a small amount of glue (Elmers) to the top area of pumpkin and attach

a layer of Spanish moss or other moss.

That's it!  You are all done with your fabulous new decorating project!

I like to put mine on little trays with more moss underneath, on

pedestals, books and group them.
