It's A New Season And A New Reason To Shop...

Hello Everyone!!  Oh my goodness....where have I been??  If you read my previous post to this one
you know that I pretty much fail at posting to my blog on a regular basis.  But it
DOES NOT mean that I don't love my blog, my blog friends and blog followers.
So, I am here, here to show you what I have been busy with and to tell  you
about something that I am very excited about.
But first, take a look at some of the incredible jewelry pieces I have created from
the incredible vintage finds I acquired and that are in the shoppe now.

Vintage rhinestone dress clip earrings.

Gorgeous antique pendant transformed with genuine
emerald stone beads.

Beautiful cuff bracelet made from a vintage rhinestone
jewelry finding.

This holiday season, through December 17th, I am donating a percentage
of all my sales to Operation Mend, an organization at the UCLA medical
Center in L.A. UCLA Operation Mend is a groundbreaking program that provides returning military personnel with severe facial and other medical injuries access to the nation's top plastic and reconstructive surgeons, as well as comprehensive medical and mental-health support for the wounded and their families.

This is my line of adorned vintage cross jewelry.  I love this line
and love the uniqueness of each piece.

Lots of beautiful, sparkling earrings!

Unique gemstone and vintage rhinestone necklaces with  vintage
pendants from the flea markets of France.

Vintage french cut steel cuff bracelets adorned with vintage,
sparkling jewelry findings.

Vintage side ways cross bracelets with Picasso czech glass beads.

My line of handmade vintage pendant necklaces.  I hand make each pendant
from sparkling old pins, vintage brass portrait pins by adding a vintage prayer
card image.  Each necklace is one of a kind!

Lovely handmade portrait pendant adorning a necklace made with
vintage rosary beads and sparkling old rhinestone chain.

Vintage glass cameo on a simple, vintage beaded necklace.

Vintage rosary centers are beautiful focal points in this unique
earring pair.  Vintage glass drops hang below.

There is SO MUCH MORE available in my shoppe, French Feather Designs.
I am very excited about my cause this holiday season and please consider
shopping with me to help me contribute to Operation Mend.  Thank you
to those that have already helped contribute to my cause.
AND, I offer GIFT CERTIFICATES to my shop too!!  Just go to my shop and there are
two different certificates for you to choose from.

Lastly, I would LOVE to have you follow me on Facebook.  I always announce new
designs there first, sales, etc.  So please like me here to always be on top of what I'm
doing!

Please tell your friends and family to follow me here and on Facebook.
I am definitely looking for more followers!

Thank you for being here and I wish you all a very happy holiday!!

It's Been A Long Time...

Four months is a long time.  It's one third of a year.  I have been away from blogging
for that long.  I love my blog but I know I am not a great writer.  Good writers
do not find writing tedious.  Or maybe it's not about being a good writer
but a disciplined writer.  And I am not that either as is evident.
It was almost the end of my youngest's senior year when I last wrote.
He has since graduated, spent what seemed like an incredibly
short, last summer with us and is now away at college.
I miss him terribly.  Everyday.   But I have filled my days with
focusing on my business, that of making the jewelry that I love.

And now I am getting ready for a fantastic trip.  In three days
my husband and I are leaving for France.  Our first time there.
We are spending four days in Normandy and six in Paris.
It was our 30th wedding anniversary in May and this was our dream
trip to ourselves.

The coast of Normandy.

The village of Honfleur where we are staying while in Normandy.

Paris

I am planning to shop a couple of flea markets while I'm there and bring
back some wonderful old jewelry finds to make some delicious new pieces with.

For anyone that has followed my blog in the past, I am hoping that I will
be able to shake the writers block and post more often.  But in the meantime,
my facebook page is the best to place to find current updates on all my new
jewelry AND to see photos from my trip.  I would just love to have you
follow me there also.  And please let me know that you saw my post here
when you come by to follow me!  I would love that!

So au revoir my friends!
My dream trip awaits!!

My Wish For You...

For all the mothers out there,
I wish you a day as wonderful
as a spring day in Paris.

You are all so special and loved in your
children's eyes.
I treasure being a mom.
It is by far my crowing achievement.

A happy and blessed Mother's Day
to you all!

Just Simple Vintage...

Hi All!!  I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.
I wanted to share a new line of jewelry with you
that I just put up in my shoppe.
It's called "Simple Vintage".
I think it is the perfect name for these very simple,
very easy to wear pieces.

I love these vintage metal buttons.  I have mounted them to a scalloped
edged jewelry mounting and hung them from  a beautiful
oxidized sterling silver satellite chain.

These simple bracelets are perfect alone or layered with others.
I have taken vintage rosary crosses and accented them with
natural stone beads.  They are finished off with a magnetic closure
for really easy wearing.

This is just a sampling of my new line "Simple Vintage".
I hope you like it.  I have more pieces coming.
Please stop by my shoppe to see these and many other
jewelry lovelies.

Merci!!

Pretty French Bottles...

Happy Friday and happy weekend everyone!!
So, as many of you know, besides my jewelry etsy shoppe
I have another etsy shoppe that feeds my creative needs.
It is called

I have just finished a new line of decorative french
decor bottles and I wanted to show them to you all!
I am just in love with them!
I use many of my vintage jewelry findings to adorn
these sweet decor pieces.

In addition, I have made a line of decorated votive holders
with a little french theme.  The holders are all mercury glass
and take a standard tea light.  When lit it flickers through the image
on the front of holder and is just so pretty.

All of these and many more of my handmade things
can be found here.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will visit
my shoppes!
