It's Almost Over...

This is the first night that I have been home in the last five days.  My son is
a senior and a hockey player on the high school varsity team.  We have a
five school tournament going on at our rink and it isn't over until about 10 p.m. on
Saturday night.  Tonight was our night off...no game.  I love to watch this guy play his sport.
To me he is amazing.  The season will be over in about four weeks and his ten years
of playing team hockey will be over.  That will be hard for me and him.

He wants to play club hockey or even intramural in college.  I hope he will.
He loves this sport and I am in love with watching him play it.

Hockey has made us so, SO busy that I have had no time to blog and to
catch up with all of you.  I have been able to get a few things made for the shop.
Just wanted to show you a couple here.

A vintage genuine carved shell cameo that I surrounded with old
rhinestone necklace links and have hung from vintage french
mother of pearl rosary beads.

An old St. Christopher medal is surrounded with vintage rhinestone
necklace links and hangs from an old elongated crystal rosary chain.
This piece if from my "Faith and Hope" collection that I will be
showing you more of in the week to come.

You can see these pieces and more here.
Thanks for stopping by and listening to how much I love
what my son does.  :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

What I've Made In Between Hockey Games...

Bon Jour everyone!!  I hope you had an enjoyable weekend.  Mine was
wonderful spending it with family and friends at my son's hockey games.
Even though I spend a lot of time in freezing cold hockey rinks I don't mind
because I love to watch him play.  He graduates this year so we will not see
him play hockey at this level anymore.  It will be very, very hard.

But I have some new pieces in the shoppe to show you.
Everything was designed with Valentine's Day in mind.

I wanted to make this a Valentine piece but not with the traditional colors of
Valentine's Day.  I accented the small brass locket with an old ivory cabochon
flower.  Inside the locket I place purple felt and a small clipping with the
word "cherish".  The heart hangs from a very old Austrian made crystal former pin.
The necklace has soft green fluorite, genuine amethyst beads along with tiny old
brass style buttons, rhinestones and small faux pearl strands from an old bracelet.

I love this sterling silver former lapel pin in the shape of a heart
with the initials M B engraved on it.  The necklace has lots of
gemstones and rhinestone pieces.

I mounted this oxidized "Amour" pendant piece and surrounded it with
vintage rhinestone links form an old necklace and then hung from a
sterling spun silver bow that once was a brooch.  Two sparkling pale
pink rose quartz gemstones were added.  Very simple, feminine and
gorgeous.

Here a sterling silver cherub bust hangs from a necklace of gemstones,
rosary beads and other findings.  I have handmade a tiny heart pendant
from a small vintage crystal set former pin.  Inside is a piece from an old
french postcard.  The handwritten note shows the date as Sept. 1930.

Perfect little genuine carved shell cameo buttons now adorn these
sweet earrings that hang from sterling silver oxidized ear wires.
Pear shaped citrine briolettes dangle from below.

Love these!  They are old filigree earring findings that were once screw
back earrings.  I have adorned them with tiny faceted pink tourmaline
and citrine briolettes.  Very Downton Abby!!

This bracelet is a charmer!  I began with an old amethyst glass set pin.
I have attached aquamarine and citrine gemstones and small brass
jewelry findings from vintage pieces.  A brass oval link chain finishes the piece.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this part of my Valentine's Day Collection
There is more to see in the shoppe.

Thank you for visiting!  Do let me know you stopped by
and I will be sure and return the favor!!

Some New Sparkly Bling...

With the holidays over it was time for me to get busy
and create some new, fresh style for the shoppe.  While we were
away over new years I had some time to go looking for
new pieces to use in my designs at some of the local antique
shops and consignment stores in the area where we were.
I find it very relaxing.
Here are some earrings that I completed recently.

I love the color of these vintage topaz blue rhinestone beauties.
I added tiny brass chains and suspended a
gorgeous citrine briolette.

Watermelon tourmaline faceted rhondelles sparkle as they hang
from oxidized brass connectors.  A vintage rhinestone bead dangles
from below, capped with a pretty pink tourmaline stone.

A ring of perfectly blue iolite faceted rhondelles surround
vintage sparkling rhinestone findings that once adorned
old screw back earrings.  I love the soft blue color with the
clear sparkle of the rhinestones.

These darling dangles are so special.  A sweet friend of mine, Daphne
from etsy, sent me these blue centered pewter hearts to use in one of my
creations.  I have hung them from vintage rhinestone necklace
connectors.  I've added tiny labradorite gemstones and silver link
chain for added detail.

I am working everyday on new designs and will be sure to show
you as soon as they are complete.
You can check out all these styles and more here.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great rest of your week!

Looking Ahead To A Year That Will Be...

 Happy New Year to All!!
I hope you have begun 2013 in a great way.
I have been thinking about this new year and what it is going
to mean for me and my family.  There will be firsts and
a few endings too but many things to look forward to.

My youngest will be graduating from high school this year and in
August we will be moving him into college.  It will be the end of high school band,
varsity hockey and lacrosse.   It will be empty nest
time for my husband and me....a first.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary
this year.  I have been wanting to go to Paris as our gift to each other.
I have never been to Paris....another first.

And my jewelry business really blossomed in 2012.
I felt very blessed to have had a local boutique carry my line
and to have gained admirers and new sales in my etsy shoppe.

I am looking forward to more continued success in 2013
with new design ideas, more followers and the enjoyment of watching
it all grow.

Do continue stop by and see what new things are going on.
And as always I LOVE to hear from you
so leave a comment, big or small.

Happy weekend all!
